One Day–Update!

Thanks so much for your interest in what God is doing in our community. We continue to see God’s

faithfulness demonstrated in Shelbyville through the lives of the people within Christ Community

Church. Good times!

CCC has a missional passion to share Jesus with people – one person at a time…To love God, people, and

community…God brought us together around the idea of “going outside.”

“So let’s go outside, where Jesus is, where the action is—not trying to be privileged insiders, but taking

our share in the abuse of Jesus. This “insider world” is not our home. We have our eyes peeled for the

City about to come. Let’s take our place outside with Jesus, no longer pouring out the sacrificial blood of

animals but pouring out sacrificial praises from our lips to God in Jesus’ name.” Hebrews 13:13-15

A few Sunday’s back we focused our worship time on celebrating the new space/location for our

church in Governors Square – The space will be rent-free! Although much of the existing 13,000sf of

space works well for our use, we need to demo / improve some areas for new restrooms, the proposed

worship & children’s space, etc…We expect this cost to be a bit north of $200,000.

Our heart is to not borrow money or have a continual campaign hanging over our folks…we feel like this

could hinder the mission of our church to invest in local ministries & stay on the gospel centered vision

we share together…That’s why we named the event: “One Day.” In faith, we thought we’d try to raise

this money before starting the work –

We were very blessed to see God provide about $79,000…such a huge start!

We sincerely appreciate the consideration from you to help CCC in this next step for our church plant.

The stories of Jesus forever changing lives matters most, and we hope this place will help further that mission.
