***please see below on an update from Safe Families for Children and see how you can pray, partner and support them
So much is happening with the ministry this month. We had the privilege of speaking to a women’s small group at Northeast Christian Church. Springdale is praying about becoming a Safe Families church. There have been meetings about how to start a hub in Lexington. Christ Community Church is partnering with us, and prayerfully considering how they can get involved. Needless to say, all this new church involvement has been an answered prayer. We cannot wait to see how God works.
Tomorrow is the last day of 14 Families in 14 Days. If we could be in prayer for the campaign as it comes to a close, and the families that have been involved. There are a lot of families praying about joining this ministry and several in the paper work process.
The Rowe family still has a placement with two beautiful baby girls that are doing well. Bio Mom T and Bio Dad J are both looking for jobs and places to live.
Prayerfully our first volunteer meeting next week will have a good turn out. If we could pray that there will be great fellowship as all of our volunteers connect with each other.
Tuesday March 4th at 6:30 is our first Life group meeting. It will be a great way to get connected with other families and volunteers in the ministry or answer any questions you may have. There will be light refreshments and childcare provided. Please let us know if you are planning on coming. We will meet at Calvin Presbyterian Church 2501 Rudy Ln, Louisville, KY 40207. They have asked us to use the door on the side of the building, next to the play ground.
We hope to see you there!
As always, thank you for all that you do. Prayer is our number one need in this ministry. We are blessed to have such an amazing prayer team.
“Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” Matthew 21:21
