It’s summertime! What a great opportunity to engage our kids (and ourselves!) in service opportunities in your neighborhood and through our ministry partners! Check out some of these opportunities! We would love to hear how you are spreading the Gospel through serving with your family this summer!
They could use help every Wednesday (and sometimes throughout the week). Their food distribution day for the community is every Wednesday and you can help from anything to organizing food, helping people carry their groceries, passing out carts, etc.

Shelby County Public Schools
School is out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean the work stops! Go to your school, pick up trash, prayer walk around it, pull weeds, take the office staff an encouraging note.
Help with meal preparation/delivery; clean up; painting, several small projects they have going on at any given time.

Other Ideas to Love Your Neighbor
- Pick up trash at your local park
- Take popsicles up to the athletic fields and pass them out to people
- Knock on your neighbors door and ask how you can serve them
- Take a family a meal and let your kids help prepare it and deliver it
