Seven families stood before our Christ Community family and dedicated themselves to raising their children in Godly homes to the best of their ability. As they did, they shared verses and values they wanted to pray over and instill in their children.
More than that, the families invited their church family to join them in the process of discipling their kids.
Would you pray with them?
Here are the verses the families chose:
““Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” (John 14:27)
“I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
“Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come.” (Proverbs 31:25)
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
“Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you. Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.” (Psalms 143:8)
“I always let the Lord guide me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my body also rests securely.” (Psalms 16:8-9)
“Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.”” (Isaiah 12:2)
“so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world, by holding firm to the word of life. Then I can boast in the day of Christ that I didn’t run or labor for nothing.” (Philippians 2:15-16)
“Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,” (Hebrews 12:1)
