Back in the 90's there was a tv show called "Rescue 911." The show included dramatized versions of real emergency calls. Of course, most of the calls ended successfully, but one of the things that people don't often realize is how many people the show helped save outside of the show. The show often included tips and directives for people in real emergencies. One report said that at least 350 people have been saved as a result of things learned from the show certainly including the basic instruction to call 911!
In marriage, there's a lot of things that happen that put our relationship with our spouse in danger. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just call 911?
This fall, David and Gigi Wheeler are leading a class entitled "Marriage 911" where they will lead couples on how to protect or recover from emergencies in marriage like..
Unfulfilled expectations
Adultery and pornography
Physical/Emotional/Sexual Abuse
Parenting differences
A controlling spouse
In-law interference
Empty-nest boredom
Lack of trust
And just like on the tv show, even if you're not experiencing one of these emergencies in your marriage, you never know when what you learn might help you or a friend of yours in the future!
There will be an interest night to learn more about the class Wednesday, October 4. The class will begin after fall break.
