ThanksLIVING! (Top of Mind Monday)

It was a GREAT weekend at Christ Community! I'm incredibly grateful to be a part of our church family, and a big reason why is that our church family practices ThanksLIVING. Keep living lives that are grateful for what God's done and is doing for you!

It was a great effort for our last Love Shelbyville day of 2024!

Not just the number of people who came to serve, but also the variety of impact of those we were able to serve was inspiring! I was thankful, too, for Aiken Seaton using his gifts on the drums to encourage us as we came together before serving - WOW!

We're so encouraged by 12 Stones Baptist Church.

The Bracken family and the Vogts served in a first of it's kind Love Shelbyville group as they went to E-town to serve a church replant by helping with their children's ministry. Our members came back encouraged by the effort of this church to reach their community! Keep going 12 Stones!

I'm thankful for our members investment in our church.

We had a great turnout for our annual dinner meeting last night as well! It was mostly a celebration of what God has done in and for us this year; and I'm so thankful for a church family that is invested not just in their own spiritual lives, but also in the mission God has given to us as a community of faith. You can check out a recap of the meeting here.

I'm thankful for David & Lindsay Shores investment in an Advent Devotional for our region.

Our local network of churches put together an advent devotional and David & Lindsay Shores contributed some awesome entries! I'd encourage you to check out the online devotional that begins December 1.

I will not be shamed over Christmas music this week!

I tried to play it while people came in for Love Shelbyville yesterday and got a few negative comments (all in fun!). FYI - I will not be shamed over playing Christmas music about our Savior putting on flesh and coming to us! Ha! In fact, it's playing right now...
