Top of Mind Monday!

We're grateful to be loved by a great church family. Katelyn and I enjoyed a weekend in Asheville that was gifted to us by our church family in honor of serving with y'all for 10 years. It was amazing! Thank you! Everytime they asked us what brought us there, I got to share about a wonderful church family that sent us there. It made me incredibly grateful! We're in to serve with you for at least 10 more if the Lord allows.. let's keep joining Jesus in going out CCC!

We're grateful to celebrate our birthdays together. I get the coolest birthday gift every year; I get to celebrate my wife's birthday! She's way younger than me, I robbed her from the cradle, and she has been (And IS!) an incredible blessing in my life. Her discernment, her compassion for others, and her ability to speak truth in helpful ways are just some of the ways the Lord uses her to bless us. Happy Birthday, Katelyn!

We're grateful for a church of leaders joining Jesus. Man, you have no idea how encouraging it is to hear Kenny preach, or Tommy lead worship, or Kelsie singing or to realize that the Embry's are headed to their final training, or to hear about leaders getting together to plan for groups in the fall, or to be invited to pray for someone that a member is sharing Jesus with, or to know that people are being welcomed warmly and invited into community... I could go on!! The point is, it's SO encouraging to realize that we're pulling together to see Shelbyville and beyond look a little more like heaven..

We're grateful that God is our healer. Surgeries, recoveries, long-term illness, family members going through it. Those are all realities for several people in our CCC family this week, and today as I step back into that, I'm grateful that God is our healer - and not just physically. While we endure some physical suffering, it's so important to remember that God is working towards our spiritual, emotional, and relational healing, too! I'm grateful for such a good, and perfect, healer.
