I have so much to learn from our church family.
Courageous honesty. A man willing to share with conviction where he was and what God was calling him to do.
Contagious generosity. A guy who showers my family with gifts and love week after week. A budget team celebrating the growing heart of generosity seen in our church giving.
Compassionate inclusion. A group of leaders giving up time to go through an incredible training with Joni & Friends that left us all asking, "How can we include every person in our church family as we join Jesus in going out to make disciples?"
I could pretty much run through my calendar from last week and tell you how each interaction with our church family taught my something about living for God's kingdom.
It's humbling just to be a part, y'all!
Welcome to the Seaton family!
Aaron, Jennifer, Aiken, and Sophie - Welcome! You've been a blessing to so many in our church family already! Praying the Lord would bless you as you continue to bless HIM!
"You were ready to die for Jesus, but can you live for him?"
It's not fair to ask me to pick one line or thought from Kelly's story yesterday. What an encouragement and challenge and inspiration to worship and serve and go with everything we've got! The story will be out on various channels later this week for those who missed it.
Today, I'm just asking the Lord how I can LIVE for him.
"The Lord had done great things for us; we were joyful." - Psalm 126:3
The Lord seems to be doing some directional things in my heart as it relates to CCC through Psalm 126.
Today, verse 3 is resonating deeply in my heart. CCC, the Lord is doing great things for us. Let us be joyful.
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless as the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will do it. - 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
In a boneheaded leadership moment, I turned a mic on that I had taken off my ear yesterday and then forgot to close us out with our memory verse for our "Kept Calm now carry on" series! Oof! So let it be on my mind and yours today as we look forward to a week of being kept selfless by and for Jesus.. He's faithful. He'll do it.
