Top of Mind Monday!

Let's jump in!

Martin Luther King, Jr's Legacy. This year, for whatever reason, I've found myself more reflective of the legacy that MLK's life has left. The wide range of change that has come because of his inspiration is pretty incredible. I'm thankful for the progress while continuing to dream with him of a kingdom where we are truly one in Christ!

Good podcasts. Magnolia spent the weekend with my parents in Indiana (we traded for a rubber snake... sermon jokes.. ), so that meant I spent some time on the road this weekend. I took in some fascinating podcasts! At the top of the list were 2: Somalia and I against the World - Witness and Persecution with Ruth & Nik

Put 'em in your ears if you get a chance!

Our staff team. I love our staff team! Tonight, we're headed out for our "Christmas" party! I'm looking forward to celebrating and spending time with these fantastic followers!

Love Shelbyville. It's been really fun to see our Love Shelbyville days LEAP forward under Katie and the Missions Leadership team's efforts! We have a TON of opportunities to share Jesus in word and deed this weekend - get signed up early!

Ephesians 2. Yesterday's Gathering was on point and an encouragement to me! At the end of it all, God's Word still gripped my heart the most! I loved when D.J. read from Ephesians 2. Leaving Top of Mind Monday with that passage...

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast.
