Hey CCC Fam! It's 2023! Here's some things trickling through the noggin' this Monday morning..
Praying for the Lost. I challenged all of us at CCC to be praying 2 Corinthians 4:4 daily for those we are sharing the gospel with, those in our circles and those living on the 13 streets around our building. It says, "In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." May unbelievers not be blinded! How will you pray this passage over the people in your life?
Communicating more effectively. I'm convinced one of the ongoing battles a leader faces is communicating effectively. The new year inspires some new resolve to grow in communicating well. Gratitude for our Digital Team! One guy who has been attending regularly had a sick kiddo yesterday and messaged me to let me know he was able to watch and share online. We're a pretty incarnational bunch.. we value being together and seeing what God does. But in cases like this, I'm thankful for the technology and leaders that make digital happen. Being able to keep up with what's happening at the Gathering on Sundays is a huge help in staying together on our mission to Join Jesus in going out to make disciples! I'm ready... The Christmas break is always one of my favorite times of the year. It's maybe the one time our culture gets that "space for transition" thing right! But now, I'm ready to get to work. I'm ready to connect with you, see how Jesus is asking you to join him, and then equipping you to go with him. I'm ready to go share the gospel in our community. I'm ready to get back together with the groups I'm a part of. And I'm ready to see all that Jesus will do!
