Top of Mind Tuesday: 4th of July Edition!

247 years is something to celebrate! America turns 247 today, and that's pretty incredible! We'll celebrate today with family and friends with a neighborhood parade, grilling out, and some time in the pool. However you celebrate, don't forget to thank God for the many blessings we experience living in America - what a place to prepare for our citizenship in God's kingdom!

Babies on the brain! It's anticipated that a slew of CCC babies are making their way into the world this week! Woo! Pray for new moms and dads as they endure some hard but incredible days. I'm in awe of the miracle of new life - both physical and spiritual! I'm reminded of Psalm 139 and the insightful words about how God creates us in the womb:

“For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began. (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭CSB‬)

Mike & Sarah Embry are blogging! This past Sunday, we said our goodbyes as the Embry's set out for several places around the globe to both go on some personal adventures, but also to support friends and missionaries around the globe. I'm going to miss them! But I'm also incredibly grateful for them; just like we need Community Group leaders and Next Gen volunteers and coffee makers and van drivers, we need people who are joining Jesus in going OUT with everything they've got. Mike and Sarah are one of many leaders in this. I was excited when they sent me a link to their new blog to share some of their adventures! Follow along here: https://2justfollowing.blogspot.com/

Central Asia store is open! Check out more details here because I'm excited to have these goods from Central Asia that support our friends and partners there! It's open all of July, so don't miss out!

July 23 is a BIG day this month! July 23 is our next Love Shelbyville - and it's a big one! We need all hands on deck (Sign-ups coming soon!) In addition, we've got a lot of new faces around CCC and you're invited to our 101 Luncheon afterwards. We'll provide lunch and childcare and then we'll spend some time sharing about who we are as a church and help you take your next step in getting connected with our church family. Stop by the connect desk to RSVP!
