What is Next?? Praying Psalm 145 for our students

Updated: Jun 2, 2023

That is always the question when attending camp, sometimes during camp about 7,433 times from a teen who forgot their camp schedule. If you know you know. That question though, What is Next?, is even more important when camp ends because our our students have just experienced a full week of worship, sermons, fellowship and the Holy Spirit stirring up in them a love for the Lord and a desire for more. So what is next? How do we as a church faithfully participate in what the Lord has done, is doing and will do in and through our students? How do we join Jesus as he does what only he can do? Pray!

Ask the Lord to do what only he can do in our students here at CCC. So will you pray with me?

Pslam 145:1-7 is where I find encouragement and direction to pray for Edge Students now, during, and after camp.

1 I exalt you, my God the King,

and bless your name forever and ever.

2 I will bless you every day;

I will praise your name forever and ever.

3 The Lord is great and is highly praised; his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation will declare your works to the next and will proclaim your mighty acts. 5 I will speak of your splendor and glorious majesty and your wondrous works. 6 They will proclaim the power of your awe-inspiring acts, and I will declare your greatness. 7 They will give a testimony of your great goodness and will joyfully sing of your righteousness. Pslam 145:1-7

  1. Pray the same goodness, praises and greatness you have seen of the lord will be revealed to them. (vs 1-3)

  2. Pray the lords works will not just be a feeling but a fact the students hear and believe. (vs 4-5)

  3. Pray that they will return changed by the Gospel and have a deep desire to proclaim it to others through word and deed. (vs 6-7)

  4. Pray they will live differently, with joy and purpose, because of our great God. (v 7)

If you'd like set a reminder alarm Sunday- Wednesday at 7:30 pm to pray as our students hear the words of the Lord.
