The new year is bringing new and exciting things as we become even more intentional in our ministry and partnership with families. We believe that there are four things that both lead to, and are a result of, spiritual growth: Spending time with God (Knowing God and His Word); Spending time with others (Investing in relationships); Sharing your story (Discipling); Using your gifts (Serving).
In order for kids to make their faith their own, they’ve got to start spending time with God on their own. It means opening the Bible on their own, having conversations with God on their own, and discovering how they best connect with God through worship on their own.
One way we are focusing on spending time with God is through memorizing God’s Word. Each month, we will spend time learning a new verse. We are encouraging families to memorize this verse together. Each family can take home a magnet with a copy of our monthly verse. Hang it on your fridge at home so that you can be reminded and encouraged!

If only we could really get to know the people behind our favorite YouTube channels! The ability to “subscribe now” gives people the impression that connection is that easy. But connection takes a bit more effort, it takes following and learning from those we want to know. Kids look for places of belonging, places where forgiveness exists, places where they can experience a genuine connection. The Gospels teach us that places like these exist. During the month of January, our kids will learn that we can know God through Jesus, we can know forgiveness because of Jesus, that Jesus knows us and wants us to follow him. The message of Jesus is powerful and something we can subscribe to!
