Baptism Resources for Parents

When your child starts asking questions about what it means to follow Christ and be baptized, it is SO exciting! But it can also be a little overwhelming. As parents, we want to do our best to guide them in these spiritual conversations and encourage them as they develop their own relationship with Christ. Use the resources found here as just that—resources to help assist you in walking through helping your child develop their relationship with Christ before and after they are baptized. The single most important thing you can do for your child is pray for them. Pray the Lord would draw them to Himself and that He would give you the wisdom to help guide them.

"The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Jesus Christ. Making a decision to follow Jesus when no one is looking is significant, but there's something powerful about publicly declaring, in front of family and friends, that you've given your life to Christ. This Bible plan will walk us through what the Bible says about baptism as a next step for a believer!" —Plan description by Journey Church
