One person at a time.
I was reminded of that in a meeting last week. I remembered again as I heard stories of interactions in Community Kids and Edge Students yesterday. It hit me as I talked with folks yesterday who are living through hard seasons of their story right now. It washes over me as I think about God's tent being next to mine..

I'm thankful for that mantra that's been a part of our language since the beginning of our church. Today, it's focusing my heart and mind and making me even more thankful for the multitude of stories that have been shared and referenced the last few weeks at CCC!
The kingdom moves forward one gospel conversation at a time.
It was the guy who shared in our Be the Church membership class that he was there because someone had shared the gospel with his son at the gym.
It was the reports from Love Shelbyville day group on evangelism training of students who wanted as many opportunities to practice sharing their faith as possible.
It was the friend who confessed texting during the sermon because their coworker was asking questions to which Jesus love and grace was the answer.
It was the realization in Community Group that what we say about Jesus in the darkest times of life are often our greatest witness to our faith.
The kingdom of God moves forward one gospel conversation at a time.
Keep walking through those open doors in conversations Christ Community!
15 years back.. 15 years forward.
We're spending a lot of time looking 15 years back right now at Christ Community! But it was fun to dream about 15 years forward yesterday!
One of many highlights from the day was being embraced by a guy who coming through the communion line with a wide smile on his face. Hope was brimming as he looked me in the eye and simply said, "I'll be 90!"
The joy he embodied in that moment as he presumably thought about what God might do in his life in the next 15 years was contagious!
Good sir, it was an honor to then sing to "Only a Holy God" about how we are "Made for More" with you!
What a moment..
So come with us..
There's a picture on the back of the guides for this series that simply says, "Come with me..."
This whole vision comes with this internal personal challenge to rise to the call of inviting others to journey towards the city with you. To take responsibility for your faith in such a way that you can help others begin to navigate a life of faith in Jesus.
The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!"
Take a next step.. and invite someone else to as well!
We are His.
Beginning October 19, we're going to walk through 1 Corinthians! This letter from Paul to the church at Corinth is a highly practical letter that implies our need for belonging to a local church. All of that flows out of a belief that Paul emphasized in the letter: We are His. We belong to God. And that truth has all kinds of implications for how we relate to him, his church, and one another. Can't wait to be changed by God's Word alongside of y'all!
