Santo por siempre. Holy Forever. Our God is certainly that!

And what a morning of worshipping him together yesterday on Mother's Day 2026!

Some lingering thoughts, celebrations, and next steps as we continue to live for him on Monday...

Multiple continents worshipping together in a couple of languages makes me long for the city that is to come.

It was just a special moment to have brother Ivan from Chile here to welcome us yesterday! And on top of that to have Mike & Sarah in from Kenya was icing on the cake! And even as I struggled through some lyrics in Spanish alongside of everyone else, the thought of singing a song in 2 languages with brothers and sisters who reside in 3 different continents here in little ol' Shelbyville filled my heart!

What was it filled with?

A desire for more.. a desire for a city that lasts forever.. a desire for the city that has a river flowing down the middle of it full of life.

C'mon God!

Celebrating families and supporting moms

Anyone who's raised children knows that bringing young families with newborns up on stage for a dedication is the very tip of the iceberg. There's so many unseen moments that are forming hearts that are ready to receive God's Word and be changed by it as young people grow. It's fun to celebrate these families as they begin that journey with us as their church family!

Underneath the surface, I'm really thankful for Krysta Howell's leadership that has not only walked families through a class that introduces some helpful resources for family spiritual disciplines and habits that build up a child's faith. I'm also really excited as some several other ladies helped host a breakfast for these families to make connections that can become life-giving relationships to these moms in the coming days - now that's a picture of Mother's Day!

I'm sharing a few pictures from the day on this post, for more visit https://photos.app.goo.gl/XoJse7P9rcemSWDJA.

“We express our love through food!” You can too! A tangible way to support some new moms..

We were on a zoom call with one of our partners in Chile this morning, and they asked us about our teams food allergies. It was important to them because as they said, "We express our love through food!"

Here's a chance for you to do that as well!

The Youngblood family just brought home new baby Levi. In addition, Abbey just welcomed a new foster placement in her home and BOTH could use some meals as they adjust.

Another way to support New Life: The Baby Bottle Challenge!

Mother's Day officially launches ALC's Baby Bottle Challenge! ALC is one of our partners who protects the lives of unborn children by supporting and empowering women and families facing or having experienced a crisis pregnancy by sharing the hope, love, and grace of Jesus Christ. The Baby Bottle Challenge is one of their biggest annual fundraisers. You can give to their efforts HERE.

Kick-off your summer by signing up for our membership luncheon, "Be the Church."

Sunday, May 24, after Love Shelbyville day, we're hosting our bi-monthly luncheon for those who are interested in joining or taking a next step with Christ Community. The class goes from 12-2 with lunch and childcare provided. RSVP today!
