    It's time to serve our community and love on Shelbyville! Every fourth Sunday, instead of our usual gathering we “go outside” the walls of our church and serve in the community. Meet us at Governor's Square this Sunday at 10 AM to group up and Go Outside. See a full list of service opportunities below. A Place to Sleep Delivering beds to families that need them Backpack Project Packing food bags for hungry children to take home on the weekends Dorman Center Working on an indoor construction projection Letters to Inmates Writing encouraging letters to those incarcerated in Shelby County Local Family Getting basic necessities for a local family Ministry Director Encouraging one of our local ministry leaders that is walking through a difficult time Prayer Intentional prayer time for ministry partners, those serving, church family, and the lost Stormhaven Youth Ranch Farm chores and helping get spring ready for sessions to begin

  • Worship Night is This Sunday!

    Join us at Governor’s Square on Sunday, March 17th at 5 PM for a night of worship music, Scripture reading, and prayer. This event is free and open to everyone, so invite your friends and neighbors! NOTE: Children are welcome to attend the worship service with their parent(s). No childcare will be provided for this event.

  • Service Opportunities: A Place to Sleep & Stormhaven

    Go Outside! We as a church have two opportunities to serve our community. Contact information is included with each opportunity listed below. A Place to Sleep is in need of twin and full sheet sets (particularly fitted sheets!). You can contact Katie at katie@loveshelbyville.com for a drop off time or bring them to Love Shelbyville Day on Sunday, March 24th. Stormhaven Youth Ranch is holding ongoing volunteer training, getting volunteers and horses back in shape, and preparing for summer kids’ sessions!! You can help as little as one hour a week. Bring a group or come by yourself! Children under 12 must be supervised by adults. Call Gay at 502-655-0845 for more information and to get involved!

    Every fourth Sunday, instead of our usual gathering we “go outside” the walls of our church and serve in the community.   • Kentucky Changers for Adults

    Christ Community Church will travel to Paints Lick, KY this spring to help turn an old school into a Ministry Center with Kentucky Changers.​ Anyone 18 and older is encouraged to participate. ​There will be jobs for those who are very skilled in construction to general cleaning and organizing and everything in between. You just need to be willing to serve. Join us for a Changers experience designed for adults! March 28-30, 2019 $45 per person includes housing, meals, and a T-shirt We will stay at Richmond First Baptist Church. Bring twin-sized bed linens, pillow, and bath linens.   • EQUIP: Marriage Begins April 7th

    Sundays, April 7, 14, & 28th Governor's Square from 5:30-7:30 PM EQUIP: Marriage is all about giving you tools to have a healthy marriage so that you can keep pursuing the calling that God has for you both through your marriage as well as in your ministry to others. Young, old, newly married, married forever, not yet married, this class will help you and your spouse take a next step towards a marriage that reflects Christ and the church. Class will meet on April 7th, 14th, and 28th at Governor's Square from 5:30-7:30 PM. This class is limited to 20 couples (40 people), and the cost is $20 per person ($40 for a couple).   • High School Spring Retreat

    April 12-14, 2019 Johnson University (Knoxville, TN) High schoolers and parents!! We're heading to Knoxville, TN on April 12-14th to Johnson University's Spring Retreat. This weekend will include compelling messages, high energy worship, and great fellowship. Students will have a fun weekend with thought-provoking messages and a time to learn more about who they are in relation to each other. This event offers high school youth an opportunity to grow their relationship with God on a beautiful college campus surrounded by other young people who share their passion for Christ. Contact Kenny to register no later than March 22nd. Cost is $50 which includes a t-shirt, on-campus housing, and all meals on campus (Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Sunday breakfast).     Churchwide | Honduras Mission Trip | June 9-16 Interested in this summer’s Honduras Mission Trip (June 9-16)? Come to our team meeting on Wednesday, February 20 at 7 pm at CCC Midland. Your $100 deposit and completed trip application is due at the meeting to reserve your spot. Contact Dave Sullivan at davidsullivanlaw@gmail.com for an application. Food & Hygiene Product Drives for Touched Twice Clinic Throughout the month of February, Christ Community Church will collect food items (Governor's Square) and hygiene products (Midland) for the tenth annual Shelby Touched Twice Clinic that will occur on Saturday, March 9th. Bring your items in to either location any Sunday in February to donate. Contact any staff member for more information. Consider volunteering as well! Opportunity to Serve Stormhaven Youth Ranch Stormhaven Youth Ranch is being blessed with the opportunity to have TWO female interns this spring/summer! They will be here from March 1st through Thanksgiving to work on the ranch during the busiest months. These women are in their 20s and in need of housing during their internship—anything from a basement/garage apartment to an extra room you may have in your house. Contact a staff member if you can help or would like more information! Opportunity to Partner with a Local Homebound Family Due to a series of physical complications, we have a local family who really desires a small group of people to rally around them. It is a mother and son and would be great to have a couple men and women that would be willing to meet with them on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis for prayer, Bible study, or just to be around them!   • Touched Twice Volunteers Needed

    This year's Shelby Touched Twice Clinic will be held on Saturday, March 9th and will offer services such as a warm meal, free medical screenings, vision screenings, dental screenings, personal care services, children’s activities, a family photo, chiropractor screening, haircuts, worship & music, prayer time, food pantry, and a clothing closet.
