In partnership with the Big Picture Academy, Christ Community is excited to host LAUNCH - an initiative to launch high school seniors into the next phase of life.
7 times throughout the 2021-2022 school year, Big Picture seniors will be on site at Christ Community Church for a morning of learning in 4 areas: Finances, Employment, Life Skills, and Continued Education. Once a month, students will engage with different presenters from the community and share lunch.
Students will be assigned into “launch pads” with each pad including an adult leader from the community and a small group of students. Leaders will accompany them through the learning sessions and then connect and debrief with them over the provided lunch.
Chris and Denise Rannells (pictured above) have spearheaded the effort and they continue to look for community leaders who can present at the once a month LAUNCH initiative. Their hope is that the initiative prepares these seniors for the next phase of life whether that phase is at college or working here in our community.
